The goal of our fellowship program is to provide wide and extensive clinical experience in Medical retina fellowship (Advanced course). We also hope to provide a stimulus for Research and academic activities related to GMedical retina fellowship (Advanced course).

“Shri Bhagwan Mahavir vitreoretinal services” is one of the largest, busiest and best-equipped retina units in South East Asia . It is known in India and neighbouring countries for its world class and state of the art eye care for patients with complicated vitreo-retinal problems. The vitreoretinal department is currently functioning in Chennai and Kolkatta with a task force constituting of 27 consultants headed by Dr. Pramod Bhende. On an average 31,000 patient’s with various vitreoretinal disorder’s are seen in the out patient services every year and around 12,000 vitreoretinal procedures are being performed every year (SN Chennai data)
