He was awarded the gold medal for being the best student in the MS examination. Thereafter he did a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery from Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad and another fellowship in Phacoemulsification technique of cataract extraction from Bombay City Eye Institute, Mumbai.
Dr. Shobhit Kacker is into private practice for the last 16 years and is actively involved in the treatment of cataract, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma,spectacle removal and other complicated retinal cases.
