We included General surgeons ( having MS in general surgery ), Plastic Surgeons ( Mch in plastic surgery ), and Dermatologists ( MD or Diploma in Dermatology ).
Since its a specialty surgery, we did not include practitioners who have only MBBS, BDS, and BASM degree in this list.
Area of interest
Most Plastic surgeons / Dermatolist have their specific areas of interest like Reconstructive Surgery, Liposuction, Buttock Augmentation, Breast Reduction, Wrinkle Treatment, etc. We did not include those which did not have hair transplant surgery as their core area of interest. So, it is quite likely we have missed a few doctors who are doing hair transplantation along with other specialties. You can suggest to us the names if you want them to be included in the list.
Experience
Most of the surgeons included in the list are experienced surgeons in their field with more than 10 yrs experience in this field. but there are few notable exceptions with less than 5 years of experience. they were included because they were meeting all the request criteria for inclusion
Hospitals
The hospital/clinic is run by doctors having post-graduation degrees in surgery, super specialization in Plastic Surgery, and post-graduation In dermatology were included in the list. Moreover, only those with an appropriate degree and who were actively engaged in the practice if Hair transplant surgery were included. Hospitals/clinics and clinics which do not have a full-time association with surgeons were not considered to be included in the list.
Reviews and rating
Medical association sites, Social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook and review sites like google and Practo were used to get signals of validation of qualification, experience, and patient experience.
